ABOUT GHAP BADMINTON CLUB

GHAP was founded in 2003 with funding from the Gay Health Alliance Project. Whilst our name came from the project that set us up; we've rebranded the acronym to stand for Gay, Healthy, And Proud. Since then GHAP Badminton Club has continued to develop, going from strength to strength.

We're a friendly and social badminton club, open to all members of the LGBT+ community and our allies and we're proud of how diverse, fun and vibrant our members' community is.

As well as our regular post-badminton socials, we organise regular larger scale social events, such as barbecues, nights out, games nights and our trips abroad.

We have a strong social aspect and GHAP is a place for people to come and enjoy social sport with like-minded people, but also to make friends for life who you can socialise with.

GHAP is run by a team of volunteers who are responsible for court hire, money collecting, games organising, equipment purchasing and the general day to day running of the club.  There is collective responsibility, and the chair and minute takers at committee meetings run on a rotating basis.

If you have any comments or ideas to improve the club then please speak to one of the committee below or contact us.
